An unexpected beginning

🌄 4 May 2024 – The Day That Changed Everything

On 4 May 2024, while recovering from a hip replacement, we took a day trip to Arran to break up the monotony of recovery. We certainly weren’t planning to buy a farm, but that day we found Bell Vue … and everything changed.

A new chapter

For many years, Bell Vue Farm was a working beef farm. When the previous owner retired, the farm was ready for a new chapter.

Our dream is to restore Arran Park as a thriving working farm while creating a welcoming place where visitors can experience the beauty, peace and wildlife of the south of Arran.

Farming with nature

Looking after the land is just as important to us as welcoming our guests.

Since arriving, we’ve begun planting willow trees and creating new native hedgerows to provide food and shelter for wildlife. We’re also establishing areas of borage for our beehives and plan to install more nesting boxes for house martins, swallows and bats.

Our aim is not simply to restore a farm, but to create a landscape where farming and nature thrive together.

Arran Park is very much a work in progress, and we’re proud of that.

Every guest who stays with us becomes part of our story. Your stay helps us continue improving the farm, restoring its buildings, enhancing habitats for wildlife and bringing Arran Park back to life.

We hope that guests who return over the years will enjoy seeing the changes as the farm grows, the trees mature and biodiversity flourishes.

For now, we hope you’ll enjoy the peace, the birdsong, the grazing sheep and the opportunity to experience a different side of Arran.

Our Journey

  • 🌄 2024 – The day that changed everything.
  • 🏡 2025 – We became the proud owners of Bell Vue Farm and began its next chapter as Arran Park.
  • 🌱 2026 – We welcomed our first guests, planted willow trees and started restoring the farm with biodiversity at its heart.
  • 🌿 Coming soon – New native hedgerows, borage for our beehives, additional nesting boxes for house martins, swallows and bats, and the continued restoration of Arran Park as a thriving working farm.
